About the Event

Nora Minasyan is the Manufacturing Manager at the MilliporeSigma Rocklin, California site, a business affiliate of Merck KGaA Darmstadt. Her work is focused on production of antibody products for in vitro diagnostic (IVD) cancer detection. Her team of 20 are responsible for managing over 400 types of biological products used primarily via immunohistochemistry (IHC) to aid in cancer diagnosis.Nora’s scientific education coupled with various leadership experiences over the span of ten years at MilliporeSigma have been critical in her current operational role. She received her bachelor’s degree in Cell and Developmental Biology from the UC Santa Barbara, and after four years in the workforce, she completed her master’s degree in Stem Cell Biology from Sacramento State University.  Within the last year, Nora has learned the challenges of being a working mom with a young child. Nora is also the site coordinator for the Women in Leadership (WIL) North America chapter. Additionally, she is the Management representative for the activities committee at work - advocating for having a work-life balance and creating a positive work environment where everyone feels safe and their voices are heard. She is passionate about inspiring future generations on STEM education through community outreach. In her free time, Nora enjoys exploring new places with her husband and 15-month-old son.
